Weaving Experiments
Weaving experiments made at the TextielMuseum, Tilburg, June 13 and 14, 2022. Working together with multitalent Jos Klarenbeek, part time developer at the marvellous TextielLab.
As a start, we continued working with weaving schemes that Jos created for weaving a version of my 1+1=3 conference poster design last september.
The jacquard loom allows for easy changing of fibres…

Thirdly, we we tried to translate photographic reproductions of black and white screenprints to the loom at a 100% scale.
The various greytones made through printing opaque white on blacks were translated to weaving by choosing and combining distincly different fibres.
Secondly, we tried to translate photographic reproductions of screenprinted posters to the loom at a 100% scale. White, black and 3 fluos, including the overprinting colours.
Thank you TextielLab for the opportunity. Will gladly come back for more!
